Collection & Use Of Information
We will explicitly ask when we collect information that personally identifies you (“Personal Information”). WayAround Tag and Scan In-App Location Permissions
The WayAround mobile app can notify you of WayPoints, which are associated with WayTags at public WaySites. Selecting a notification at a WayPoint allows you to read the associated WayTag without scanning it. Location Services must be turned on to receive WayPoint notifications. Location is always in use in the background to notify you when you are near a public WaySite. Location permission does not include ads.
When you create an account with WayAround, you agree to receive information about our products/services, events, news, and offers. It is our desire to not send unwanted email to our customers and community. All of our emails contain a link to a preference center where you can choose which types of emails you would like to receive. All of our emails also contain a clearly labeled unsubscribe link, so you may unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribe requests submitted through the unsubscribe link are fulfilled immediately and no further communications will be sent to users who have stated that they do not wish to receive the specified information. Unsubscribe requests submitted via email will be processed within 2 business days.
We will not send you unsolicited email, commercial offers, or advertisements. Additionally we will not sell, rent, nor loan our contact lists or customer data to any outside organizations without your consent. IP addresses (address of a computer) are logged to track a user’s session, however the user’s identity is anonymous. Tracking IP addresses gives us valuable information about which parts of our site are used most often and what information is viewed.
Information Use By Third Parties
We share your information with third-parties to do business on our behalf, and we obtain consent for such sharing where required by law or any applicable Google policies governing personalized ads and/or user consent including Google’s EU User Consent Policy. We reserve the right to release personal information in the event that we are required to comply with the demands of an appropriately empowered governmental authority, or in any instance that we, in good faith, believe it to be necessary to protect our rights, the rights of others, to protect our security, or that of others or to protect the safety of any persons. We do not sell, rent, loan or allow external access to our contact lists.
To the extent any purchases or payment are processed through a third-party service provider, your information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the transaction. Whenever your information is transmitted to an external service for processing, we employ secure (SSL) encrypted connections to protect your data during transmission.
